Conner Hicks

Therapeutic Style:

My therapeutic style is developing as my training continues. I like to take an integrated therapeutic approach to best suite the client sitting in front of me. I often pull from Cognitive-Behavioral Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and Multicultural Therapy. I like to work with clients to find an approach that benefits them the most, prioritizing making the client feel safe and comfortable in our time together.

Professional Interests:

Currently I have a wide array of interests, but I am mainly interested in working with college students figure out how to lead a more fulfilling life by exploring themselves, their surroundings, and how it all interacts. I have experience with helping individuals work through anxiety, relationships, and family dynamics, however I am very open to exploring other areas!

Education:

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University. I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Ohio State University. As you can see, I am a Buckeye through and through!

Personal Interests:

In my spare time, I enjoy watching shows and movies, spending time with friends and loved ones, and being outside when the weather is nice. I participate in a lot of racquet sports such as tennis and pickleball.
