Welcome!! We're glad you came to OSU! Depending on where you were before, coming here may be a large (or small) transition for you with lots of new stuff to learn and get used to. It's completely normal to feel stressed, excited, and overwhelmed by the transition of being on a new campus.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer you services until you are an enrolled student at OSU. So if you are currently enrolled in another college and planning to transfer to OSU but are currently interested in services-- please contact the counseling center at your current institution.
If you have recently transferred to OSU, here are some tips to help ease the transition:
- Get familiar with campus by walking or driving around, taking a campus tour, or riding the bus. You will be less intimidated by the size of the campus if you are more familiar with your surroundings.
- Read your campus emails to learn about campus events you can attend to meet people.
- Utilize campus resources. The benefit of being on such a large campus is that there are lots of resources to use. Check out the on-campus resources page for ideas about where to go.
- Don't be afraid to ask questions of people you see on campus. Most folks are friendly and glad to provide directions or assistance.
