Therapeutic Style:

My therapy style is best described as a strengths-based therapy approach with key components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Person Centered techniques. I believe that every client has the power within themselves to create the future they desire and I enjoy collaborating with clients to help provide and create the practical tools they need to reach their goals. I empower and encourage my clients to not merely be spectators, but directors, of their own stories.

Supervision Style:

My supervision style mirrors my therapy style as I encourage other professionals to grow within themselves both personally and professionally. I enjoy creating a relationship where we can learn from each other through sharing our thoughts, perspectives and challenges surrounding our clinical work.

Professional Interest:

I enjoy working with a broad and diverse client population as I am always looking to expand my professional competency. My interests include: grief and loss, crisis intervention, LGBTQA identity work, spirituality, women’s issues, trauma work and substance use.

Groups & Liaison Roles:

I am currently a liaison for the "Brutus" cluster of resident halls.

Educational Background:

I earned my Bachelors in English, with a minor in Psychology from Ohio University. I earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Dayton.

Personal Interest:

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to festivals, reading and swimming.  I am a huge fan of musicals and try to attend as many as I can. I also enjoy going to concerts, dancing the night away and singing my heart out at karaoke.
