Therapeutic Style:

I approach my work with clients from a solution-focused perspective while utilizing aspects of motivational interviewing, dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapies. My goal in working with students is to connect them with the supports and services they need to continue being successful in the academic career at Ohio State.

Supervision Style:

I take a strengths based and collaborative approach to supervision. I also encourage our trainees to explore the value of risk assessment and case management skills to overall behavioral health care.

Professional Interests:

I have experience in individual and group therapy, as well as case management in community mental health and medical home settings. My professional interests include crisis intervention, gender and sexual identity, family of origin issues, emotion dysregulation, overcontrol, managing chronic mental health and physical health concerns and feminist perspectives surrounding social work.

Groups and Liaison Roles:

I currently facilitate the Radically Open RO-DBT group. I previously facilitated the Bringing Back Balance group and the Building Mastery drop in workshop. I am a liaison to Columbus-area psychiatric hospitals.
