Therapeutic Style:

My therapeutic style is an integrated humanistic and cognitive-behavioral approach. I also conceptually pull from relational-cultural and existential frameworks. I think the relationship between the therapist and client is powerful and I think questions about purpose and meaning are inherently human. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for therapeutic work to occur within; this includes a genuine curiosity to learn about my client's world from their point-of-view. From there, I work with my clients to tailor our approach to best fit their needs, often utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques to help bring about the change they are wanting. I also highly value the role of understanding “the why” and work with clients to build their awareness and insight into their experiences.
