The Mission of the CVM Office of Counseling and Consultation is to promote a culture of wellbeing and inclusivity through counseling, consultation, and education that supports College of Veterinary Medicine students in their pursuit of academic and personal development, empowering them to become successful members of the veterinary community and beyond.

Sport Psychology and Wellness Services

Sport psychologists provide mental health counseling and mental skills training. Typical mental health issues include anxiety, depression, and recovering from injury. Mental skills for athletic and academic performance include energy management, goal-setting, focus, imagery, and team-building. Student-athletes face tremendous pressure on and off of the field, and sport psychology helps student-athletes respond to this pressure more effectively.
