Emeka Obinnakwelu, Jr. is an embedded clinical therapist at The Ohio State University who provides diagnostic evaluations, holistic individual therapy, group counseling services, and Let’s Talk consultations to undergraduate and graduate students at the College of Engineering and the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture. Emeka’s clinical experience includes treating individuals with mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, stress, trauma, ADHD, and substance use.

In addition to clinical services, Emeka also provides outreach and consultation services for faculty and staff. He received his BASc in Exercise Science from Youngstown State University and M.A. in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Akron. He is currently a Counselor Education & Supervision Ph.D. candidate at The Ohio State University. Emeka is licensed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
