Office of Student Life

Ali Al Khalaf

Therapeutic Style:

I take a very person-centered approach. I believe each individual is the expert on their own life and should be treated as such. In addition, I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy in my work as appropriate.

Professional Interests:

I am very passionate towards providing care for underserved groups such as international students and the LGBTQ+ community.

Educational Background:

I earned my bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering in 2016 from The University of Texas at Austin. Needless to say, it was not my passion! I am currently enrolled at the Counselor Education MA program in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track at The Ohio State University.

Personal Interests:

I love video games, and my tastes for them are pretty eclectic! Recently learned how to cook from my mom, so I enjoy trying out new recipes as well as cooking with others. Beyond that, I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and loved ones and discovering new places around town with them.

My Pronouns:

He/Him
