Therapeutic Style:
My therapeutic style models a behavioral approach. I incorporate solution-focused therapy with strength-based treatment and modified evidence-based practices (such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to meet the unique needs of students. My goal is to assist students to define their therapeutic goals and help them navigate mental health supports and resources on and off campus to reach them.
Professional Interests:
I have experience in individual and group therapy, as well as case management in community mental health and hospital settings. My professional interests include crisis intervention, working with high risk populations, counseling individuals with personality disorders and managing chronic mental health with physical health conditions.
Groups and Liaison Roles:
As a Care Manager embedded at Wilce Student Health Services, I serve as a liaison to the clinical staff and providers. I also serve as a liaison to Greek Life, Hillel, and Chabad. My goal is to extend the Counseling and Consultation Service offerings to the students seen here.
Educational Background:
I am an alumnus of Ohio University, graduating with a degree in special education with a minor in psychology. I then conducted research in industrial and organizational psychology before pursuing my master’s degree in mental health counseling at Boston College.
Personal Interests:
In my free time I’m typically scouting the next mini-docu series to watch while trying out a new recipe or researching the Columbus foodie scene. I’m also a HUGE football fan, GO STEELERS!
