Graduate and Professional Students

With every chapter in life there are new challenges and your time in graduate school is no different. Long hours, shifting social circles, establishing healthy routines and navigating your identity as a graduate student are among the many dynamics associated with graduate school. Yet, there are many ways to find support at Ohio State to help you succeed.

In addition to the wide variety of services available to all students, there are several specific ways CCS is here for you during your journey as a graduate student:

  1. Graduate Student Mental Health: Enhancing Wellness - This 1-hour workshop provides space for graduate students to discuss and learn about common stressors, time management and self-care strategies found at Ohio State. Students will practice communication strategies that aid in graduate student life, as well as engage in self-compassion practices. This presentation also looks to list further resources that they may utilize as they explore challenges specific to a graduate student level, as well as those challenges faced in their personal lives during this same time. Request this workshop for your program.

  2. Graduate Student Groups - Request to join a group of graduate students who share similar struggles. Both general and affinity groups are available.

  3. Establish a plan for positive mental health and wellness tailored to you. Check out this blog post by R. Ryan Patel DO, FAPA OSU-CCS Psychiatrist
